CBS participates in the BIM Tecniberia Committee
CAD & BIM SERVICES has been collaborating since September of last year in the BIM Committee of Tecniberia. The objective is to write an internal document that includes the implications that this new methodology will sue the companies.
CBS actively participates in the groups PREVIOUS STUDIES (Normative, Standards, Experience in other countries, etc.), APPLICATION / IMPLANTATION (People, Companies, Processes, etc.) and ECONOMIC STUDIES (Project Costs, Implantation Costs, etc.).
It is expected that the first draft will see the light during the first half of this year and then present it to the Administration.
Whilst it is a requirement already demanded in tenders from certain
countries, the European Union has for some time been urging member countries to address the modernization of procurement regulations and public tenders, and calling in particular to consider the appropriateness To incorporate the BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology of project management through a 3D digital model, to modernize and improve the processes of public contracting.
At the national level the Ministry of Public Works has established a timetable for the implementation of the BIM methodology marked by the following dates:
- – Recommended use of BIM in public tenders, March 12, 2018
- – Mandatory use of BIM in public building bids, 17 December 2018
- – Mandatory use of BIM in public tenders for Infrastructures, July 26, 2019
